Default Lowering Max Health

Skills like Gash can lower max health. However, the question is: does ur current health lower with ur max health? For example: if my health is 100/200, and gash lowers my max health by 20, does my health become 100/180 or 80/180?

Thanks

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Deep_Wound

"As with all effects that alter maximum health, inflicting a Deep Wound also lowers the target's current health by the same amount. This adjustment will never kill the target, but can bring them down to 1 health and can also give a health deficit, requiring you to be healed for a certain amount before your health rises above 1 again."

Also Deep wound takes off 20% max health not 20 health. (Up to a max of 100 health however)

I know, I was just using an example. Thank you though.

well this explains why my deep wounding duncan at 10% health doesn't end his miserable existence immediately....

lowers max and current health to a maximum of 100 and no lower than 1. so if you deep wound a monster with seventy buhzillion health. their max and current health will be lowered by 100. if you deep-wound someone with 12/600 health their health will be lowered to 1/500(meaning degen will kill them instantly).

Or, if you use a skill that has damage and DW, the damage is calculated after the DW, which will kill them.

It's also worth noting that when a reduction in maximum health would lower your health below zero, any healing skill that doesn't fully restore you to 1 or more health will also kill you.

edit: This is for the OP's benefit; I am sure you are aware of this, Coloneh.
